Obama's "Don't do stupid shit." policy

"According to multiple reliable sources, on Air Force One during President Barack Obama's recent Asia trip, he spent some time talking with his traveling press corps about his approach to foreign policy. He was defensive and, by one account, "fuming." He felt that the criticism of his approach was unfair. He had clear ideas about how to manage America's global interests. In his own words, they centered on a single concept: "Don't do stupid shit."
In fact, after making this point, he reportedly stood up, headed forward toward his own cabin on the plane, and then stopped. He turned back to the gathered reporters, and, much like an elementary school teacher hammering rote learning into students, he said, "So what is my foreign policy?" The reporters, in unison, then said, "Don't do stupid shit.""

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz) and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) led the attack on Thursday, blasting Obama for failing to craft a stupid response to crises in Iraq, Syria, and Ukraine.
“Instead of reacting to these events with the haste and recklessness they deserve, the President has chosen to waste valuable time thinking,” McCain said. “This goes against the most fundamental principles of American foreign policy.”
Graham also expressed frustration with the President, telling reporters, “The American people are waiting for President Obama to do something stupid, but their patience is wearing thin.”
In his most withering criticism, McCain called Obama’s “stubborn refusal to do stupid stuff” a failure of leadership. “If I were President, you can bet your bottom dollar I would have done plenty of stupid stuff by now,” he said."

"В российской науке есть только одна проблема. И в российской жизни вообще - только одна. Та же самая. Это - абсолютное господство принципа "Ты начальник - я дурак. Я начальник - ты дурак". И все. "
но учитывая что у этого жжузера вокруг в интернете полно дураков, которые не в курсе что они дураки

получается странно.
но в принципе естъ мнение что в советской традиции науки было вполне принято наезжатъ на друг друга, типа по резулътатам спора кто то выходил дураком.
за границей выходцы из советской школы некоторое время шокировали своими наездами на докладчиков, но вроде потом цивилизовалисъ потихоньку.
ну или разница в компутерных форумах, типа на российском форуме тебе сначала объяснят какой ты идиот со своим вопросом, а потом может и помогут, то на западном наезд скорее будет редкостью, если это не флейм какой то.
т.е. в советской традиции человек скорее должен бытъ настороже, глупых вопросов не задавать, ибо можно нарваться на остроумных.
если в обществе с такого типа насторожностью человек попадает в начальники, то это ему дает наверное некую иерархическую индульгенцию, служащую защитой от людей желающих показать ему что он дурак.
т.е. в некотором роде получается что именно такие летучие медведи и подогревают сию дихотомию.
