читаю книжку Ливена про американский национализм,
вот позабавил фрагмент:

"Russian and Chinese intellectuals of my acquaintance who came to America in
the 1990s after living in this atmosphere of private cynicism toward public ideology

ordinary Americans glorify their country's beliefs, institutions, laws and economic
practices in private conversations, not just as a matter of defensive patriotism, but

this! No-one is forcing them to say it!""
